Electrical Apprenticeships in Florida
Florida law defines an apprentice as a person at least 16 years of age who learns a recognized skilled trade through actual work experience under the supervision of journeyworker craftspersons, combined with coordinated study of related technical and supplementary subjects, under a written apprentice agreement with a registered apprenticeship sponsor. It also provides that apprenticeship programs are registered and approved by the Florida Department of Education.
For an electrical route, ask each sponsor about the occupation, employer hiring process, work location, instruction provider, wage progression, costs, and completion credential before applying.
