Program Structure
The Electrical Training Institute of Southern Nevada, also identified as the Southern Nevada Electrical JATC, offers an Inside Wireman apprenticeship linked to IBEW Local 357 and NECA contractors. The route requires 8,000 hours of on-the-job training and at least 720 classroom hours. Its training center is at 620 Leigon Way in Las Vegas.
Inside Wireman instruction includes electrical fundamentals, wiring methods, code, jobsite safety, conduit bending, blueprint reading and motor controls. The separate Installer Technician program has different work and classroom requirements and is not the route described here. A fixed completion time in years is not confirmed; work hours and instruction requirements govern progression.
Requirements
Applicants must be at least 18, have a high school diploma or GED, and hold a valid driver's license and Social Security number. Algebra I or higher with C or better is required, alongside aptitude testing and an interview. Review the linked qualification instructions and prepare the requested education and identification documents before applications reopen.
The FAQ describes work with electrical contractors and the need to travel to assigned jobs. The state directory places the electrician program in Clark and Lincoln counties and the part of Nye County south of the Mount Diablo baseline. Confirm the actual assignment and classroom timetable before making transportation arrangements.
Application Process
Applications are closed as checked September 9, 2026. The official page has not announced a reopening date. Check that page for updates; an existing application link or general description of application steps does not establish a current opening.
When applications resume, follow the official online process, submit the required supporting documents, and complete testing and interview steps. What You Earn
The apprenticeship combines paid work with training. The sponsor says there is no tuition, but apprentices pay for books, tools, work clothing, boots and transportation. Current complete participant costs and a dated wage amount are not quoted here.

The directory listing supports program identity; it does not establish that applications are currently open or automatically grant an individual electrician license.
