Curriculum Highlights
The Trade Electric page names NCCER Electric Level I but does not describe or price it. Nassau BOCES's Electric Continuing Education Program page lists a course of that name, with shop work and concepts and codes, theory, wiring methods, switches, and circuits. It ends with written and practical assessments for an NCCER certification.
Motor control covers start, stop, manual, remote, and automatic controls, plus National Electric Code (NEC) standards that apply to motors.
OSHA-30 leads to a 30-hour Construction Safety Certification Completion Card. Site Safety Training is a 10-hour extension to OSHA-30 made up of an 8-hour Fall Prevention course and a 2-hour Drug and Alcohol Awareness course, both New York City Department of Buildings-approved. Completing all three makes a student eligible to be issued an SST card. The page says SST cards are required on most construction sites in New York City's five boroughs.
Admission Requirements
The page prints no age, diploma, or test rule. It links an Adult CTE Enrollment Application, and motor-control and NCCER sections say Complete Enrollment Application Before Registering.
The page lists "Can Trade Electric help me prepare for an apprenticeship?" and other questions. Their answers open in pop-ups not captured here.
BOCES employees, retirees, and alumni of GC Tech or Barry Tech can ask about a discount.
Cost & Financial Aid
The Trade Electric page prints tuition of $595 for OSHA-30, $195 for Site Safety Training, and $1,295 for motor control. It does not price NCCER Electric Level I. The Electric Continuing Education Program page and its registration search list a course of that name at $5,595. Neither page prints a total.
Motor-control sections run TuTh, 7:00 PM to 10:00 PM, from 9/08/2026 to 11/19/2026 and 1/05/2027 to 3/18/2027. NCCER Electric Level I sections at $5,595 run from 9/08/2026 or 9/09/2026 to July 2027, and later sections are also listed. OSHA-30 sections run 9/22/2026 to 6/15/2027 and Site Safety Training 12/21/2026 to 6/29/2027, with mixed registration status.
Career Outcomes
The Electric Continuing Education Program page's NCCER Electric Level I description says the course provides 200 hours toward a Department of Labor Electrical Apprenticeship, followed by Career & Employment Center resume and employability support. Neither page calls these courses a New York electrician license or says students are placed with an employer.
