Community overview
r/electricians calls itself Reddit's International Electrical Worker Community. It is oriented toward trade discussion, work photos, and code-related questions.
Check whether your post fits
The sidebar rules reject DIY and self-help posts or questions from nonprofessionals, with an exception for career questions. The community's rules page is stricter: it says anyone who is not an electrical professional may not ask the community any questions at all, and sends DIY questions to help communities such as r/AskElectricians, r/diy, r/homeowners, and r/electrical. The sidebar also has a "start here" link for pre-apprentices to read before posting.
Use the discussion carefully
Code interpretation, licensing, and safe work practices depend on the job and jurisdiction. Confirm community answers with the responsible authority and qualified professionals.
