What It Covers
ExamsLib's free test gives you 20 multiple-choice questions per attempt. ExamsLib says they draw on subject areas covered by journeyman and master electrician exams: the NEC, grounding and bonding, load calculations, wiring methods and overcurrent protection. In the set we reviewed, 14 questions were tagged grounding and bonding and 6 load calculations. The page doesn't name an NEC edition or a specific state exam.
How It Works
The test runs in your browser with a 30-minute time limit and needs no account. After you submit, it shows your score, the correct answer to each question and an explanation. The interactive quiz needs JavaScript. ExamsLib treats 70% (14 of 20) as a practice pass, and you can retake the test, possibly with different questions.
Price and Access
The test is free. ExamsLib separately sells Plus ($9.99 a month or $59 a year) and Pro ($19.99 a month or $129 a year) plans for premium full-length timed tests; you don't need either for the free test.
Before You Start
ExamsLib says it is not a licensing authority, its questions are not official exam questions, and passing its practice test doesn't guarantee a passing exam score. Check your licensing authority’s current code edition, approved references and exam format.
